ABOUT
Join us for our fourth Just(US) Dinner where we will bring Black folk from our community together to unpack the struggles and challenges that are unique to their lived experiences as Black folk over dinner and movie.
For this session we will be watching an episode of the hit series, "Black-ish," a show that explores a black family that struggles to gain a sense of cultural identity while living in a predominantly white, upper-middle-class neighborhood. We will explore these themes in our daily lives and have an open discussion on the impacts of this on our community and understanding of self.
Each 2 hour meal gathering will include a media moment to screen the film and a guided conversation and reflection led by a clinical psychologist who will hold group therapy styled sessions over the meal.
Registration for this event will open up on Thursday, May 15th.
